Through his work, Meyer captures a nostalgic sense of Americana, drawing inspiration from diverse locations such as California's valleys, Princeton University, pre-Miami Vice Florida, the Pacific Northwest, and the small-town charm of Virginia, Mississippi, and Texas Hill Country.

Created by American perfumer Joshua Meyer, Imaginary Authors is based in Portland, Oregon. Joshua's foray into niche perfumery began in 2010, and since then, his creative journey has flourished. The perfumes of Imaginary Authors span a wide range of styles. Some are bold and surprising, while others simply bring a smile to your face. They’re made for anyone who appreciates fragrance as a story.
