"Today I remembered people coming together. For thousands of years I observed them take part in the same congregation. The elders going silent, no longer being able to hear the same tune. This unsound dance passed on to the next generation. A stranger tells me to read their lips. “Words don’t matter”. Darkness harbors truth while the melody nurtures my long distance relationship with sleep. Go with inertia. Dance the absurd. But dance without love is as hollow and ridiculous as love without dance. Yet at standstill, we self-destruct. "

A daring cherry-and-latex scent with sweet fruit, smoke and rose — seductive, erotic and made for nightlife.

Editor's Notes

Born Screaming is David-Lev’s response to the cherry trend, parodying its risque aspects while offering a darned good cherry fragrance too. No simple fruit, the vibrant red of cherry has its saturation boosted to the extreme, its natural feeling indistinguishable from its hyperreal expression. It has the same glossy shine as an inflatable balloon sculpture by Jeff Koons, or the cherry sprite in Pac-Man - its feeling is exaggerated and full of energy, the fruit presented in the surrounds of many floral and fruit ingredients, from gooseberry, blackberry, rose, and heliotrope - to less obvious additions of boronia, freesia, and datura. On the edges of this fragrance it is possible to find the tingle of energy drink, the sweet powdery plastic aroma of latex and dvd cases, and even a musky-resinous architecture, bolstering the red tones of this fragrance.

Addictive

It is an addictive scent of realistic cherry and unsettling latex and plastic. I love it and going to save up for the full bottle! Thank you NOAH.

Born Screaming smells like forbidden pleasure:

I have many words to say about this fragrance so bear with me here:
My first impression is an intensely artificial maraschino cherry, almost like cherry syrup in a Monster Energy drink. It's bright, saturated and unmistakably synthetic, surrounded by a fresh plastic, latex and rubber quality.
The rubber feels stretched taut, with a glossy surface that seems to hold a layer of liquid. I imagine intense red light reflecting off that liquid, creating almost blinding highlights against the blackness of the latex. The edges fade into shadow, evoking the smoky atmosphere of a dark dance room.
There is a strange duality to the scent: cold and warm, sweet and unsettling, inviting and vaguely threatening. The cherry is seductive, while the synthetic rubber introduces tension. The result feels tactile, almost as though I can physically feel the material and see the light reflecting off it.
Emotionally, the fragrance evokes the allure of something I want but perhaps shouldn't approach. It feels simultaneously familiar and unknown, desirable yet faintly dangerous. There is an anticipation in that tension, a sense of being drawn towards something despite an instinctive hesitation.
The strongest connection I feel is to SOPHIE's music. The harsher, more physical sounds evoke the stretched rubber, friction and uneasy attraction, while the sweet, synthetic plastic-pop represents the release of pleasure. Crucially, that release doesn't eliminate the sense of danger. Instead, surrendering to the pleasure makes the danger feel even more alluring.
To me, Born Screaming is the olfactory equivalent of that transition: the moment when something artificial, confrontational and almost alien becomes euphoric.
It's not simply a perfume that smells sweet, dark or seductive. It's a perfume that makes me imagine the moment attraction overcomes apprehension.

Kinky and alluring

Though the fragrance does not suit me personally, I couldn’t help but admire the craftsmanship. It’s delicious, mysterious, and exciting. The unlikely combination of sweet cherry and latex results in a fragrance that is both elegant and dirty. Fantastic!

Just the sample but more than enough to convince me that I need a bottle when they’re back in stock.

Born Screaming definitely isn’t going to be everyone’s favourite, but to me it’s divine, very intoxicating and sexy. It starts off strong with a whiff of burning plastic as well as latex but then it mellows out to the more synthetic cherry that holds this perfume together.

It is by no means a ‘fruity’ cherry if that makes sense, moreso medicinal and confectionery but I think that’s what seperates this fragrance from others and I love it.

I was screaming

A dark, evocative phrase that blends Slavic melancholy with primal expression. Great for music, art, or storytelling that explores deep emotional or existential themes.

Deliciously amazing. This fragrance reminds me of the lollies in Australia that are now called Red Ripperz. That almost-tangy berry-candy vibe is solid. Yes, this is a memory as a fragrance. It's got a childlike vibe without being childish - in fact, this fragrance is not for kids, in my opinion. It's for adults who wish to remember the sweet treats you'd buy at the local swimming pool canteen or beachside shop. It's a summer vacation. It's yum. Toskovat is not for everyone, so I recommend a sample first
