Zoologist Cow Extrait de Parfum

Regular price $39500 NZD

Lush green pastures tumble toward the horizon, arching beneath the imposing silhouette of a mountain range. Cumulus clouds roll across a bright blue sky, their massive shadows gliding over a peacefully grazing herd. In a corner of the meadow, a tiny calf braces quivering limbs and, with a mighty lurch, stumbles up to take its maiden steps. Its velvet snout prods, rooting at its mother, until the release of warm milk signals a satisfying welcome to this vast new world. Zoologist Cow brings to mind a bucolic scene, a myriad of scents from Mother Nature’s nurturing bosom. Innocent florals sway among soft grasses, while apple gently sweetens the soft aroma of fresh milk. The result is a place both familiar and reassuring, where warm arms unfold to welcome us into a loving embrace. A place called home.

A creamy lactonic with powder, fresh fruit, aromatics and white florals.

Editor's Notes

For those fond of white musks, Cow works in full understanding of the material, exploring its synergy with floral, grassy, and lactonic notes. Here it takes on a velvety, or even spongy texture, softening at the touch. As one begins to picture creamy white milk, green pastures, and blue skies, one might also imagine consonance with the fertile earth, the vibrations between blades of grass, and the lifecycles of nature. Cow is symbolically rich: the purity of milk, the sweet hopeful note of apple, the vernal green of lily of the valley – these notes evoke familiar sensations of prosperity, renewal and regrowth. Cow celebrates life and grants ‘milky’ and ‘fruity’ fragrances their rightful dignity. In its heart, blooms of wildflowers in and amongst the grass – the almond impression of heliotrope uniting with milk, the powdery tenderness of violet mingling with musk, whilst amber raises this fragrance to a comfortable temperature. Neither too hot, nor too cold, just right. Indeed – Cow embodies the best parts of a fairytale: a perfume without cynicism or the sinister – the world in which Cow derives is a world under the magic spell of the imagination.

Inoffensive smell - very much like a generic

Inoffensive smell - very much like a generic green apple shampoo, conditioner, lotion or body wash. Starts off quite green - not grassy but like a dark-green leaf that you’ve crushed or ripped then sniffed (kind of like the type of green you associate with Synthetic Nature by Frederic Malle) and softens to the green apple my-fresh smell. I didn’t get any lactones which I’m disappointed in because I love lactonic scents.

Apple goodness

Smells like an apple soap, is a very clean and fresh smell. Reminds me of an apple shampoo I used as a kid. Very nice

Milky, and sweet grass. Ever so softly floral with a hint of hay. I love to top it off with a caramel scent to smell like flan
