Immediately there is the sensation of aromatic vapours rising from a pot of Earl Grey tea; warm bergamot oil mixing with fine black tea - a little smoky, floral, and brisk. This is a tea without distractions, served without the perfume equivalents of milk and sugar, clearly expressing the facets you’d expect from a tea fragrance. Drawing out a beguiling astringency, yerba mate lends desiccation, set against the splashiness of all the citrus notes at the top. Tonka bean imparts a creamy dimension, so central to the warmth, texture, and mouthfeel of a good black tea.
