In part a shapeshifter, Carlisle’s overall shape is that of a mossy, darkened tobacco fragrance. You’ll catch a whiff of spiciness, earthy sweetness, suds on the surface of a bar of soap. One moves through freshness: crisp apple, woody with nutmeg, shining with saffron, fresh from rose: it has something of a woody amber feel. Creamy tonka bean rises, imparting its distinctive texture and scent profile. Hay toasted by the sun, blond tobacco, alongside the chocolate earthiness of patchouli, the velvety melt of vanilla, and boozy and fruit scented with davana and osmanthus. A shapeshifter it may be, though it all clicks into place, melting together gorgeously with sandalwood materials and opoponax resinoid. A rich scent profile; and never oppressive.
