Perfumer’s Inspiration:
"The sea is in my blood, and Scandola is a magical place where I keep coming back with fishermen friends who know each rock, each corner of it. Whatever the hour or the season, its colours keep changing on land and sea. Those flashes of colour inspire me as a perfumer. As a part of my current quest for naturality and clarity, I wanted to express the marine accord without resorting to the cliché of artificial aquatic molecules. I found the key in a gorgeous algae extract, customized specifically to reflect my vision of Scandola’s breathtaking beauty." (Marc-Antoine Corticchiato)

The exquisite sea, purity and brilliance, sweetly scented and salt-tinged. Perfumer Marc-Antoine Corticchiato paints this image with fine bristle brushes, rendering the most exquisite details with a heart-stopping finesse. Never before have I smelled a picture of the coastline and the sea like this, so expansive and turquoise blue, airy, foamy, and twinkling, avoiding every trope that has come to bog down the aquatic family. Nothing superficial, but mesmerisingly deep, rich in colour, texture, and scent. Aromatic materials dissolve into this fantasy - notes become elemental building blocks that contribute seamlessly to the whole. Freshness attacks from every angle: a salty yet clear bouillon of lemon and algae, juniper, seaweed, iodine, and moss. The sun smiles through a filter of magnolia flowers, sizzling on a skin of sunstruck immortelle and a genius touch of animalic and golden hyraceum, which hisses while this bouillon offers delicious refreshment.
