Inspired by the elegant and intelligent character of Edmont Dantes, who embodies the French spirit, this details a story of love, ambition, betrayal, friendship – competing with pain, sorrow, and revenge. But, ultimately, it tells a tale of patience and hope. At the end of the story, Dumas writes: “Until the day when God feels obliged to reveal the future to man, all human wisdom will be contained in these two words - waiting and hope - attendre et esperer!”.

This is a fragrance of hope - forward looking yet pushed along by the inevitable winds of tradition. It is an olfactory journey that opens with a sweet and captivating impression of salted butter caramel, seasoned with neroli and black pepper - lending strength to this sweetness. This is followed by cardamom, which decorates the powerful and fortifying notes of cedar from the Atlas mountains and Haitian Vetiver, which represents the depth and mysterious side of our literary hero, softening at the touch of iris, imparting elegance. Attendre is a cool-spiced wood fragrance, and to amplify this effect whilst giving a prominent twist, the waxy, woody, and dry note of walnut leaves an unmistakable trace.
