Supported by tuberose absolute, galbanum, angelique flower, fleur d'immortelle, wood notes, leather notes, and styrax. Tuberose lovers rejoice! Nuit de Bakelite is a glorious retro green: mossy, dewey, and vegetal; piercing as bitter artemesia, galbanum, and herbal angelica notes settle on the fleshy white intensity of narcotic tuberose flower. This is then further enriched with oily ylang ylang and the vintage sheen of carrot seeds and karo karounde - with an overall waxy, woody, and cleanly spicy facets. This must be an essential component of the detectable plastic 'bakelite' accord, perfected when styrax enters the mix: rubbery, oily, drenched in sunlight, and somwhat pliant in texture with clean smoke in the distance. In short, this is an exciting new take on tuberose - totally androgynous ... it will surprise you.
