Daymon is the materialised creation of the commitment of Mendittorosa to do her bit for those animals around us without a human language or power to defend themselves against humans. Mendittorosa decided to support the NGO Cruelty Free Leaping Bunny by making it official what we have always been of course: Cruelty Free. Mendittorosa also trusts and supports the Italian NGO LAV in their work to give a shelter in Tuscany for maltreated animals of any kind – you could call it “The Arc of Compassion”.

Daymon is therefore so much more than a great creation elaborated together with the Master of Perfume Luca Maffei. It represents Mendittorosa’s vision to stop human violence against animals, to lessen their suffering and to set them free from slavery and slaughter, testing and experiments. Once and for all to make clear that animals are not less worthy than humans. We are all equal and should be treated as such. Humans suffer from racism, gender abuse, war and egoism, but that is something we chose to do. The animals are suffering a lot more than we, and they have done nothing.

A strong comfort, not at all dissimilar to the feeling of being embraced by a beloved pet. Furry, cuddly musks and amber against a blend of spicy flowers and woods. Beautiful, feel good wearing for all occasions.

Bottle, Cap, Box, and Tail:
The Daymon comes in a unique flacon crowned by a Daymon ceramic made by the magnificent Tuscan artist Alessandro Reggioli. Hand-made each and every one. Daymon is looking out from the rounded box. The totem form, the soft wool and silk tail made by Neapolitan 38Verde coming out at the top and indeed the box is all deliberately different from other Mendittorosa boxes, because this is a statement.

Editor's Notes

In a certain respect, Daymon is an expression of comfort. Spicy, waxy, green, musky - it does not adhere to the usual codes; or to the usual progressive movements. It feels like a large and powerful sculpture; a totem of many discrete and stacked pieces. Its initial freshness is already thick: green-tinted neroli is enriched with full-bodied jasmine and waxy iris, anchored with beautiful sandalwood from New Caledonia, sweetened and warmed with tonka bean. A peppery and earthy sharpness is driven through the scent by way of angelica root, which hangs around with a remarkable persistence, defining the scent. And then, as if to nuzzle your nose in the soft, warm fur of a beloved pet, a key blend of musk and amber achieves this effect.
