Like a dip in the ocean, Escale En Indonesie boasts the use of real ambergris. After being broken down into the smallest components possible it is tinctured for six months, it reveals ozonic, animalic, and saline facets that lasts a very long time on the skin. This is a cologne of tints and nuances: citrus notes and neroli offer an immediately recognisable brightness, offering its own sort of sparkle against the musky, ambery, animalic waves of ambergris. This is followed with a sandalwood foundation that imparts a woody dimension that rounds out the composition. This is a robust fragrance, both sunny and dry - glistening but also grounded and deep.
