The ylang-ylang flower has long, curling petals like yellow-green ribbons, splayed in a starburst shape that droops delicately from its stem. It likes to shimmer and coruscate to a nearly otherworldly degree, and is happy to be blended - never losing its essential effect. It adds solar warmth and a certain thickness to any fragrance composition. In Psychedelic Love, ylang blurs into the soft blushing haze of heliotrope, like light through a soft filter. This key combination is built out top and bottom, from refreshing splashes of bergamot and rose, to a stable ground of myrrh and sandalwood, adding some darker, sharper tones around this gentle heart.
