The comparison to Egoiste is apt.
More citric, less rosy with more vanillc / tonka presence.
Sandalwood is creamy rather than dry.
Don't let the Cologne label fool you. All day longevity and some.

First time user of this. Gives an initial strong sandalwood scent which settles down fairly quickly. Only slight fault is it doesn't last all day. However, a worthy choice.

What a gem! I blind bought this with my expectations set to, "Hey, this should be pretty good". And when I finally tried it, I was blown away by how utterly fantastic the contents of this little unassuming bottle actually are. The seamless blending of ingredients...to perfection. This is, a little sweet, with some balanced spices, some florals (but still masculine, think, 'refined'), with a healthy dose of smooth, creamy sandalwood. In my books, THIS is how a gentleman should smell. Blind buy? YES!!!

Awesome scent.. I just wished it lasted longer...I will buy again if a EDP is made by the brand. I note the brand has started to make a EDP of the Eucris scent..

Great fragrance and great service as usual!!

A creamy sandalwood that drys down to more than just generic barbershop scent. Long lasting on my skin. A great Geo. F Trumper product.

G F Trumpers Sandalwood cologne is a unique take on sandalwood. It has a sharp sweetness and spiciness to it which keeps me coming back for more. You don't get the dry woodiness you do with other sandalwood fragrances, but this remains masculine and has truly outstanding performance. One spray is plenty for the day. Spray 3-5 times and the whole office level will smell you - so be diligent. My personal favorite sandalwood.

My partner enjoyed the gift and feels that it brings back the natural British fragrance.

This cologne quickly went to to the top of my favourites.its amazingly long lasting,silage is perfect and it smells absolutely brilliant .money well spent

Bought this and applied and it went on quite sweet but didn't last long as it then went to a nice woody scent. I was mightily impressed with this sandalwood cologne and it would now be one of my favourites. I always think it is a personal preference.

What can I say, I was excited to try this. The price tag is high but I wanted to treat myself, and the 5 star reviews were egging me on. I had tried the deodorant stick of the same name previously and I absolutely loved it, so it was a no brainier. At least, that's what I thought. This cologne can be summed up in one word, and that's 'cloying'. A couple of hours into my day and I was completely over the overpowering sweet scent, to the point that I was actively adjusting myself to prevent further exposure.

The scent has similarities with the deodorant stick, but it's much less subtle, and completely in your face in the worst way possible. I guess I'll have to gift what's left.

This is a really warm classic sandalwood. My favorite sandalwood. A great man's fragrance.

I'm not cure if it's the uniqueness of Trumper's Sandalwood, or the fact that I live in a regional area, but this Cologne ellicits positive comments. My order arrived this morning and I applied a a very small amount and have received very positive comments :-)
I must say I am a little guarded about revealing what it is and where I got it. Sorry :-)

I received a small sample of this Cologne and will be purchasing a bottle in the very near future. The scent is long lasting and is the closest I have found to a true Sandalwood. Only a very small amount is required with each application and I have received favourable comments from both male and females regarding the scent. To avoid letting the secret out I have not been specific about the actual make of the Cologne when people have asked. This one is definitely gold.

Family in the UK were good enough to send me a Trumpers sampler. This was the standout for me. A really classy, subtle, yet potent for staying power cologne. Perhaps not a woodsy as some Sandalwoods, this dries to a creamy vanilla kind of scent. Strays a bit towards the floral for my nose, and pricey for the amount, but a great scent.
