An undoubtably unique creation, Eau de Quinine is scent about balance, managing to blend the sharp herbal and peppery fizz of quinine with an elegant soft powder - something reminiscent of warm dry hay and gentle rose water. Eau de Quinine is a fragrance quite possibly enjoyed by Oscar Wilde.

A bit of a surprise

I suppose I had something in mind, along the lines of tonic water or similar when I ordered Eau de Quinine. My expectations were not met, but I am not disappointed. This is something quite special. There is a smoothness to the scent that is neither as bitter nor as sweet as the website implied. It is a European scent that is reminds me of time I spent in Germany. Perhaps it is the herbal mid-notes. Whatever it is, it is well worth trying as you won't be disappointed. It is subtle, but not faint of heart.
