While The Musc opens much like its EDP counterpart, the noticeable depth here is staggering, fusing a rounded and bold amber impression to the tenderness of floral-scented musk. Its sensuality is indubitable - lavandin continues to impart gentleness; a certain sedate tranquility. But this is roused with a magical quality of ambrarome - a powerful material with historic pedigree, a standout that mimics the aroma of ambergris, with leather and darkest labdanum impressions. Darkness in found in the heart of this serene whiteness - among folds and textured layers - it is this contrast that makes the white all the more brilliant, and the black all the more dramatic. An extraordinary seduction, musk showcases all of itself.
