In Bois Imperial, snappy, crisp, and anise-forward Thai basil combine with the effervescent and spicy facets of Nepalese timut pepper absolute, redolent of sparkling grapefruit. This sizzling opening lasts long as it fuses with the robust and woody heart of this fragrance, which includes earthy Haitian vetiver accented with floral tones and furthered with Georgywood, an incredible amber-cedar molecule with fresh, minty, and sweet facets, not at all unrelated to the endearingly popular Iso E Super prominent in perfumery today. Akigalawood signs the body of this fragrance, and this spicy wood note enriches natural Indonesian Patchouli oil, grounded with Ambrofix, delivering a potent ambergris note. Bois Imperial dizzies with its tall vertical structure. Straight lines of wood – Georgywood (cedar) and Akigalawood (patchouli) give unwearying body and upright posture to this fragrance. Synthetics offer the very best version of the natural material in which it derives, guaranteeing power without the loss of elegance, and tenacity never at the expense of clarity. This is an aromatic dance, beautiful spicy fizzes of Thai basil and timut pepper that bubble over the surface of these wood notes, in an interplay that lasts forever, and ever, and ever.

A melange of woody and herbal notes becomes a potent fluid at the perfect point of adequacy, and is therefore never superfluous. From a technical perspective, it is faultless. Cedar, patchouli, and vetiver impressions are abstracted, forming a single vertical line as if painted in a dark black ink. And yet, this ink shimmers and sparkles - it is at once solid yet translucent, the near-impenetrability of its black colour hosts spicy and floral overtones. This fragrance sings and charms.

In love

I was a bit hesitant to buy it without trying it first, but after reading so many reviews, I decided to go for it. I’m a big fan of Quentin Bisch and his Ganymede, and many people describe this as a more wearable take on that scent. I can definitely see the similarity—especially after about an hour on my skin, when certain notes reminiscent of Ganymede start to come through. That said, it’s still a distinct fragrance with its own character, and the opening is truly unique—hard to put into words. It would absolutely suit both women and men. I absolutely love it.

Fresh spicy with a hint of woodiness, and really unique. exactly something you expect from a great perfumer like Quentin Bisch, great longevity and projection too. Lasts on my skin for 8+ hours, highly recommended.

Really fresh and tangy at first but quietens down into a subtle but noticeable scent, with those citrus and amber notes really springing out at you! Wear it lightly to work but can wear it out as well - very versatile.

This fragrance truly lives up to its name, as it has quickly become an 'essential' part of my scent rotation! Distinct, long lasting and memorable, yet far from overpowering, I have never received more compliments on my fragrance choice than when I have worn Bois Imperial.

This was a great blind buy and I loved it from the start. So did my partner, who immediately stole it from me and has been wearing it every day since. I understand people say it’s a lightweight/ wearable clone of Ganymede. I don’t know about that but it really reminds me of another top shelf fragrance called Nio by Xerjoff. A wonderful green citrus done in a luxe way. A must have.

Bois Imperial

This is not my scent. I tried it after a recommendation from my friend, who is obsessed with it. The scent is unrealistically fresh, like being in a fantasy forest and breathing in fantasy molecules. I like how it smells in my bathroom after 2-3 hours, but I can’t imagine wearing it on myself.

Absolutely love this scent, it's so long lasting and everytime I wear it I get complimented on how nice I smell. I bought it for myself and my partner steals a squirter of it everytime I leave the bottle out! Lovely, long-lasting luxury for both males and females ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
