Guethary is a bonafide surprise - an avant-garde fragrance with realism in the background. It could almost be an odourless perfume, the way Guethary assembles floral notes amongst salts and musks, like an olfactory ink that coats the skin. It is neither light nor dark, but a reflective sheen - a perfect ‘suede’ skin, textured beautifully. This is an angel leather; a leather made of gentle flowers, wrapped in musk, sugar, salt, ink, this angel comes down to earth. It shows restraint never at the expense of interest. Simple complexity.
