This spicy soft amber fragrance is inspired by the eternal legends of the ancient Silk Road. Epic Woman is the spicy, ambery fragrance that blooms under the mystical twilight stretching between China and Arabia. In the mystical twilight with the desert wind blowing against her veil, she follows the guiding light in search of the long lost aria. Beyond truth and immortality a legend is born.

Piquant sparks of pink pepper join the spicy warmth of cinnamon and cumin to lift a heart wherein shines a mystical and mythical rose. Between its incarnate petals curls up the lemony scent of geranium. The spices grow quiet and intoxicating jasmine appears, amplifying the rose with floral and fruity nuances while the tea spreads its damp freshness like bubbles of sheer light.

On a pedestal of dry notes, of iris, guaiacwood and patchouli, frankincense unfolds its mineral light laced with dusty oud. Warm sandalwood, amber and Madagascan vanilla wash them at last with a golden glow prolonged by white musks.

A bottle of Epic Woman contains the whole spirit of the Amouage brand - the Silk Road narrative of Eastern and Western worlds joined together - aligns with the modus essendi of the house. Spices have forever united these worlds, and this is Epic Woman’s focus. A generosity of them, and the manner of their presentation, also speaks to the core idea of Amouage.

The fragrance is immediately affecting, situating one in a spice dream of pink pepper and bay leaf, both sweeping and towering. A camphoraceous, eucalyptus-like line runs through the body of the fragrance, ignited with cumin and warmed with cinnamon. And while the fragrance begins already soaring through the sky, it holds itself steadily at this altitude, slowly descending through aromatic stages, gathering scent as opposed to losing it. It is slightly bitter, medicinal, though remarkably refreshing. Pulsating flashes of lemon-tinted geranium are placed alongside a pure and tender jasmine note, imparting life and delicacy to the scent. At the right angle, and from the ideal distance, a huge rose makes itself known. Superimposed over this generous layering of spices and incense, this bold rose, with its many petals resembling a cabbage, is the key material that holds the perfume together and its many impressions. It is velvety, fiery and impressive, softened with vanilla and darkened with incense-laced patchouli.
