Tatara Masamune Nodachi Safety Razor

The Masamune Nodachi Razor is an update from the Masamune Razor. Like the original
Nodachi katanas, it has a longer and heavier handle, enhanced blade exposition, and the blade feeling is amplified, all in favour of a closer and sharper shaving experience. Its minimalist design conveys Tatara’s aesthetics of purity, elegance, and simplicity. With its high blade gap and a positive exposition, you can feel the blade sliding smoothly along your face, achieving an exceptionally close shave.

The unique fitting system of the Masamune series results in a high perpendicularity between the handle and razor head, for better precision during shaving. A symmetrical load distribution on the threads prevents excessive wear and increasing resistance. It is blade chatter free: the contact area between the cap and base plate effectively clamps the blade, ensuring that it does not vibrate or rattle during the shave, giving the smoothest shave possible. The razors are CNC machined, and are sandblasted to achieve a smooth look, finished by hand, extinguishing machining marks and softening the edges of the razor.
