As some one who travels overseas on a fairly regular basis,shaving in a different environment requires high quality items.This soap is first rate for portability,beautiful lather and nice fragrance.All in all a rather special product.

My partner loves this shaving cream - been using it for at least two years. The container probably lasts around 5 months so is economical, does what is supposed to do, doesn’t dry out his skin and there is no overpowering scent. Overall a wonderful product.

if there are any shortcomings, of which I have encountered none, both the shave stick(travel) and shave soap(home) are without doubt better than any I have used - and like their excellent after shave balm free of all those nasty chemicals found in most face products.

I've been using this soap for a few weeks now as a replacement for my previous soap, which has sadly been discontinued. It smells great, lathers well and feels good on the skin, but I'm finding I get some small nicks and redness that didn't occur with my previous soap. I'll see how things go as I progress my way through the soap, but I'll likely try something else next time.

This is an awesome shave soap, lathers up really well, its got glide, cushion, leaves the skin feeling great, a nice fresh scent, all natural, real solid performer.

Use it every day in conjunction with a pre shave cream. Works great and it seems to last forever! I'll definitely buy this again.

Like the other Speick products that I've purchased. They perform fantastically, especially for the price.

Alike the balm I recently bought and am using now this is very good. Great scent leaving you feeling fresh after a shave. I've found my soap of choice for a while.

Speick products are consistently great.
Have used Speick shaving stick, aftershave, aftershave balm and now the active soap. All do their job much better than expected--given their price point.
The active soap lathers quickly, in hard or soft water, with horse, boar or badger brush, and provides full cushion and glide.
It's one of those soaps you can go to for shaving in a hurry without fear of nicking yourself.

Having tried several other Spieck products as well as owning their shave soap stick, it was a given that I had to get my hands on this.

The packaging itself is as pictured, with a seal around the lid to ensure it hasn't been opened.

On opening the lid (which is all made of plastic), you are greeted with that familiar "Spieck" scent which is hard to describe, although this time, I get a hint more "Orange Peel" smell.

The texture of the soap is very similar to that of a "Proraso" in the sense that its not a "Hard" soap liek GFT, D R Harris, etc.

This soap performed very well, and I was able to generate a thick, rich lather without hesitation! This soap is perfect for both bowl or face lathering.

The scent as described above is very "Fresh". I get that familiar "Speick" scent which is across many of their products (like the body wash, cologne, etc), however, I get more of a citrus scent with this soap.

Overall an awesome soap for anyone who is a fan of all things Spieck. Its also great for a beginner as it's priced quite nicely for a 150g soap! Being a screw top its also good for those of us who travel. I highly recommend this soap!

I love it. It works just as well as the stick, which is a great soap, but offers a very different scent and comes in a tub, which I much prefer. I always grate the sticks, just can't get on with them.

This is a soft soap in the Italian style. The scent is distinctive, but subtle. I think it's a citrus and lavender, which is a nice combination. I always found flowery scents a bit sweet and too much, but the citrus balances that.
