Proraso Shaving Cream Tube: Protective, 150ml

I recently placed my first order with NOAH. The products themselves are excellent. The Dovo grooming tools are outstanding and the Proraso products are fantastic quality.

Unfortunately, the customer service did not match the premium image of the business. I accidentally created two accounts and customer service merged them, but refused to merge my loyalty points. No explanation was provided and no goodwill gesture was offered.

To make matters worse, significant discounts were offered shortly after I placed my order. When I explained that I was disappointed and said I would not shop there again, I received no response at all.

One other point worth noting is that although there is a New Zealand website, my order was dispatched from Australia. I hadn’t realised this when ordering.

The products deserve five stars. My customer service experience did not. I hope NOAH reviews its approach because the brands they carry are excellent.

Can't believe it has taken me this long to try this product. Awesome value for money. Lathers better than more expensive shaving creams I have used. Allows for a smooth shave with no after shave burn/rash. However, I prefer my shaving creams to have a nice scent, leaving a beautiful aroma post use. This product has a very subtle scent unfortunately. But still a very good product. Will definitely keep using it.

I’m always rushing in the morning, using fingers (not a brush) and a cartridge razor.
Early on I was nicking myself.
But slowing down and getting a better lather worked perfectly.
Love the aroma, and the soapy feeling as you shave.
Amazingly affordable !

I use shave creams all the time and this is one of the best great lather and no razor burn on this face Proraso blue Nice product!

When you are in the mood for a cream rather than soap Proraso Green Cream for warmer months and Proraso Blue Cream for cooler months and you have the best performing creams you can get. So good just go straight into a face lather.

I've previously only used the proraso white bowl and pre shave cream (I'm sensitive to perfumes and love these 2 products). The blue cream lathers up beautifully and feels rich on the skin. I find it also gives a very good shave, I don't however love the smell. It's not strong, so I can tolerate it no problems, but I don't actively like it. To me it has a mild old fashioned odor.

Proraso make some of the nicest mass produced soaps on the market at a very good price. The scent is very nice, gives a lot of protection and doesn't dry out your skin. Overall a very nice soap, and my favourite of the proraso line up.

Being a regular user of MWF soap, i find that my skin sometimes gets too dry and i end up with razor burn. Enter Proraso Blue. I use this cream liberally and face lather with a brush. Superb moisture retention and no dryness. Extremely slick and cushioning. Leaves skin silky smooth. Exotic scent and perfectly finished with Proraso Blue Aftershave Balm. Highly recommended for normal to dry skin. Better than Proraso Red IMO.

I ordered this cream and some Feather blades from Men's Biz yesterday afternoon at 3:14 pm. The package arrived at 9:00am this morning. You'd think they had nothing better to do then stand around looking after their customers' orders!!

I used the cream, a new Feather blade, a Merkur HD Slant bar and a Semogue OC Boar brush this morning. The shave I got was absolutely stupendous. Feather blades are usually too sharp for me, but with this cream, not a nick, not a tender patch, no razor burn at all and a light touch of menthol to finish things off. I'm BBBS (Beyond Baby's Bum Smooth).

Now for the scent. Hmmmm, by no means unpleasant, a tiny bit medicinal and a touch of something else I can't quite pick. Maybe it's the Liquorice root, either way the scent doesn't last after the shave and as I said, isn't unpleasant, just "mysterious".

This is a definite must have cream. 8)

Firstly let me say for context reasons that I've been DEing for some 7 years now and have tried a multitude of creams, razors, blades etc. after many trials and tribs I settled on the TOBS Mr Ts Shaving Cream and the Limes as my two go to creams. Brilliant lather, great smell. I tried others and always regretted it and annoyed the crap out of myself with those unused tubs and tubes in the cupboard until that final throw away.

So, with a sigh of frustration at my idiocy I ordered the Blue Proraso (& the Red) and sat back. I use the Proraso pre shave and love it, so hopes were high... And what a payoff! Extraordinary stuff at almost half the price of the TOBS.

Lathers like a dream with minimal product, protects the face, moisturises and stays shavable for 5 or so minutes.

Outstanding product from Italian maestros. If you're a cream guy, you'll love this (and the red).

The only minor quibble is the perfume - there's none really and I do love that burst of manly smell in my morning routine. It doesn't alter the efficiency though, so no loss of star.

Let me start as I always do. I own all of the Proraso Soaps and Creams to date, so as soon as this beauty was added to the Mensbiz line up, I just had to have it.

Like all things Proraso, the cream comes in a nice box with a booklet inside showing you some of their other fantastic products.

Now, let me start with performance. Out of the Proraso Green and Proraso Sandalwood creams, I would say this tops them both. I was able to generate a nice, thick, slick lather, like I would with some other high end products. I was just amazed at the quality of the lather! You have to get your water / cream ratio just right, its well worth it!

Now, on the scent. This was quite hard for me. There is a scent there, and like the description states it is a "Fresh" scent, however, its very light, and almost impossible for me to put a finger on. I honestly can't describe the scent! It kind of smelt like wet paint (in a good way). Almost herbal? Reading the italian description on the back said that there was Aloe Vera and liquorice extract, so the scent may very well be that.

Either way, based on performance, I would recommend this to anyone. Its real bang for buck considering the quality of lather this cream can generate. Its also fantastic for those who have sensitive skin as it's not heavily scented. My apologies for not giving a good description of the scent, but you won't be disappointed.
