This stuff is key to getting a super-close wet shave.

A good shaving cream is good but Proraso pre-shave cream takes it to the next level. Smells like Vicks Vapoprub and while it mightn't open your nasal passages it certainly seems to open all the pores on your skin to make for an amazing shave. Works well on tought beards too.

Italian instructions which I probably wouldn’t read anyway may have alerted me to the fact it is a preshave product!

I just had my first ever DE shave with this -- not one cut!

Excellent addition to the shaving arsenal

This should be part of everyone's wet shaving routine.

Effective as a pre-shave, the light cooling cuts into thick and unforgiving stubble when applied liberally, gently massaged in and covered with a very hot towel for a minute or two. The smell puts you in mind of an old barber, vintage and simple.

As a post-shave, I would lean towards something more focused like a dedicated aftershave balm or splash, but it's lingering cooling sensation is a lovely feeling.

I'm keen to try the other scents.

This stuff has been around for a very long time - and it's not hard to see why.
