Geo. F. Trumper Eucris Shaving Cream Bowl, 200g

As a shaving cream, Geo. F. Trumper’s Eucris is actually quite good. It lathers very easily, produces a rich and effective foam, and you only need a surprisingly small amount to get enough lather for a proper shave. On performance alone, there is very little to complain about, and the 200g bowl will probably last a very long time.

Unfortunately, that last point is also part of my problem with it.

The fragrance is simply not for me. I generally prefer masculine woody scents — cedar, tobacco, darker woods and similar fragrances. Eucris heads in a very different direction. To my nose, it has a distinctly old-fashioned, rather powdery “old lady perfume” quality to it — and not particularly luxurious old-lady perfume either. Scent is obviously highly subjective, and somebody else may absolutely love it, but I certainly don’t.

So I’m now faced with the slightly unfortunate situation of owning a large tub of very competent shaving cream that uses so little product per shave that I may be smelling it for an extraordinarily long time.

Good shaving performance, excellent lather and economical to use. But fragrance matters enormously with a product like this, and for me the Eucris scent completely lets it down.

I’ll use it, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
P.S. I dont see James Bond picking up the ladies with this. The fragrance was made famous by referring to this character.

was I so happy when I discovered Mensbiz have just started to stock eucris and Spanish leather creams in the new 200g tubs...ive always wanted Trumper to do this and now they have .
if your familiar with eucris scent then this is exactly what you get in this tub.not too strong and definitely not subtle..the scent is heavenly !!! rich lather that is a given with trumpers creams..if you love eucris then you will definitely love this..and 200g !!! packaging is fantastic as well..super impressed ...thx to matt at Mensbiz once again..your service never fails to impress me..
