Bruno’s Inspiration:
"When customers asked me to transform our beloved Toasted Lilac soap into a perfume, I thought it would be straightforward. But soap and perfume formulas speak different languages: soap fragrances are drawn with bold strokes, while perfumes require fine brushwork.

I ended up doing a year of development. The challenge wasn't just preserving lilac's beauty but reimagining it. Lilac notes are used in many soaps and household cleaners. That association is one reason there are few lilac perfumes. By amplifying the hidden almond note naturally present in lilac and adding a gourmand twist, Lilac Brulee emerged as something unexpected–a floral reinvented as a gourmand. What began as an adaptation became a whole new story, one that honours its origins while charting its own course."

Lilac Brulee begins with a golden, milky tone, the colour of tonka beans, marzipan, vanilla, spices, and powdery mimosa folded through rich cream. This is sharpened with a tangy dose of rhubarb, until this beautiful moment reveals its namesake lilac note imparting its soft floral potency. Honey-like, radiant, and redolent of jasmine, this fragrance draws out the almond nuances of the lilac note, from pale to scintillating. Further depth emerges through sandalwood and cedar, which has smokey touches - reinforced by the fine blunt warmth of cinnamon. Ultimately, this smooth floral-and-wood medley melts into the skin, but not before it swirls, vibrates, and soothes.
