D. R. Harris Marlborough Shaving Soap in Bowl, 100g

Great soap love the scent it's woody with a slightly smoky scent coming off the soap. I brought the soap by itself last time this time I got the matching bowl. The bowl is great with enough room to lather. Soap performs very well I prefer to load with a dryer brush than most people and build a face lather. Soap likes a lot of water and makes a creamy rich and slick lather. Using a safety razor I get good protection and the soap doesn't clog the razor. D.R. Harris makes some of my favourite soaps they aren't cheap but being triple milled they last a long time much longer than any of my soaps.

Marlborough is one of the nicest scents I’ve tried DR Harris makes great sense it’s rugged manly and mature. However the performance on this soap is very bad. In fact it really drags this product down a lot it just doesn’t lather, now I’ve been around this community for 3 years now and I’ve invested myself heavily into it, I spend a great deal of time experimenting on how best to lather my soaps and this soap is not up to standard. DR Harris is a good brand and they make fantastic creams but their soaps are lacking. I attacked this soap with both a boar and badger brush the boar faired better the badger made no progress, in both cases the results were less than optimal.

After hearing a lot of good things about this soap I went ahead and ordered it and was very impressed. Very nice scent which is not too overpowering. Very easy to work with and produces a really nice lather. Highly recommended product!

This was my first D.R. Harris shaving soap and I was quite intrigued hearing about the scent before I had smelt it, but contrary to what some people think it smells like (an ash tray) I think it was a really masculine aroma that I really love.

The lather I one of the all time top performers, a really thick protective lather that makes the skin feel great afterwards, highly recommended.

Having owned "Arlington" and adding "Almond" shaving soap to my collection, I couldn't pass up on the current sale price of this fabulous soap!

On packaging, like all D.R Harris products, the soap came in a nicely packaged box, and the usual "Seal" over the soap.

The scent itself was very nice. Marlborough is quite a unique scent, as I own the Shaving Cream also (Which is top notch!). The scent to me is a bit soapy, smokey and "Fresh" for lack of a better word. Some people associate the name with the Cigarettes "Marlboro", however, I don't get any "Cigarette smoke" scent when I use this product, what I do get is a nice thick, rich lather.

The Bowl the soap comes in is a nice beechwood bowl (like all their soap line up).

Performance, like all D.R Harris soaps, was fantastic. You can tell its going to last quite a while being Tripple Milled, and lathering was not hard at all!

Overall another fantastic product which is essential especially at this current sale price! Snap it up before the sale ends! You won't be disappointed. For those after a "Stronger" scented soap, this won't do you any justice. For those looking for a soft, unique scent, go for it!!
