Czech & Speake No. 88 Eau de Parfum

Regular price $31200 NZD
Size

Czech & Speake No. 88 Eau de Parfum is a stronger and bolder of the original and best-selling No. 88 Eau de Cologne. Just as complex and sophisticated but with a new intensity, a higher concentration of high quality aromatic essential oils puts new facets of the scent on display, with its fresh citrus top notes enlivening the floral notes in the heart, finishing on a pronounced dry and confident base of vetiver and sandalwood.

No. 88 intensified — bergamot, geranium, and cassie. More intimate, more sensuous.

Made in the UK

Ozzy Osbourne wore No. 88 by Czech & Speake for over 30 years. He smelled it once and said: 'I'd like to smell like this for the rest of my life.' So he did.

Editor's Notes

The decision to create a more intense Eau de Parfum version of the well beloved No. 88 stems from a desire to move away from the fairly conservative tradition of British perfumery by introducing a more intimate, more sensuous composition - that keeps the same notes but rearranges their form.

One of the most pleasant scents around.

Been a big fan of this fragrance for a while now, finally got my hands on a full bottle. Just wished there was a parfum concentration for even more depth, projection and longevity.
I couldn't recommend NOAH highly enough though. Their time and effort in securing and delivering stock was next level. C&S were clearly struggling to keep up with the demand on the no. 88 line.
RIP Ozzy.

Best fragrance I have ever found

Even though this is a more traditionally masculine scent, I love it as a every day scent, and for special occasions, I layer with a more feminine floral scent.
Saving up for a whole bottle

No. 88

I am really disappointed with the delivery of No. 88 eua de parfum 50ml.
Unlike all other bottles it is not holding its scent. I am wondering age of stock or product mishap.
The tester samples are also very unappealing on their scents and notes.
Really to support an Australian local company but really unhappy with the product purchased.

Mysterious & Dapper

Czech & Speake's No.88 would not have been out of place residing on Sweeny Todd's Barbershop vanity; it embodies a sense of late Victorian England with qualities are gothic, dark and predatory. Quite possibly the ultimate masculine rose, No. 88 is steeped with dark florals over a simmering heart of cassis: a note reminiscent of fragrant cinnamon; the overall effect being one of fragrant incense sticks and pink musk lollies. It rests over a warm foundation of sandalwood and vetiver, lending a damp earthiness upon which the composition is held aloft. It evokes an image of dozens of velvet red roses resting on a freshly-turned grave.
Ive always adored the Cologne version since I first encountered it in the mid-late 2000's, but the EDP has amplified all the qualities I adore. A head-turning compliment-catcher, I've always enjoyed reactions from those around me; we seem unanimous in regarding it as something unique and singular. As a scent which is both charming and dapper but with a renegade 'Peaky Blinders' leaning, I'm certain over time it will continue to garner a greater following of men (and ladies) who recognise and adore it's non-conforming 'otherness'
