Captain Fawcett's Expedition Strength Moustache Wax, 15ml

It provides a 'rock solid' job. It's good gear.

It works. I think the one I received maybe a tad old, it's coming away from the sides of the can.
It is very dry and needs a little warmth to be able to apply. However, it does hold once I can get it on my applicator brush.

Loving the Expedition strength wax! My 'Stash is a little wild, but the ole Cap'n has managed to tame it. Easy to apply, smells good, and keeps everything in place.
Cannot recommend highly enough.

I have both this and the Lavender, both are great products, but I can detail a bit of difference:
- Lavender is a bit softer, and easier to work in, such as with a comb. Also a bit 'gooier' in the tache, but can be used for a more styled and sleek look. I would expect this is also good for those with finer hair.
- Expedition is rather hard, and you'll certainly want to keep it in your pocket (or use a hairdryer to help). Requires more manual working in before combing. The look is good for a more 'brushy' and coarse/chunky tache. Great in warmer weather, when the lavender can get a bit soft. The tin is about half the size of those in the glass (e.g. lavender) so fits in a pocket/coin pocket pretty well. I think it is a good choice for those with coarse facial hair.

I like the smell of both of these, understated and pleasing.

Firstly this company sets a whole new standard for service and presentation - for a blokey product I didn't expect such fantastic packaging, let alone the serious speed of the shipping. The product is just what my stash needed, tamed the fly aways and shaped easily and for hours. The perfect pocket sized tin to have with you for that mid arvo touch up too. Strong wax so small amounts and lots of warming up needed to use, but hey, it's expedition strength, you'd be worried if it wasn't strong! Top notch

It is quite difficult to work in, yor best bet is small amounts scraped out with a fingernail, warmed up either by rubbing your fingers together or with a hair dryer to speed put the process and, worked in to the moe. But it will hold the ends for twirling and curling quite well, for several hours, with a few touch ups when required. Smell is nice not over powering once under your nose.

I like this in summer, but a bit heavy in cooler times, when I use Capt Fawcett lavender. It needs to be warmed and kneaded to work in evenly.

this is just the ticket to keep the 'touche under control. It helps if you have a nail file to use as a scoop, but I was getting 12 good hours out of each application. Certainly will buy again.

Smells great, firm hold but tough to use. Requires scraping it out in very tiny amounts then trying to warm it between fingers can take a while. Otherwise, no complaints!

There are only two waxes you'll need for your moustache, from start to maturity, and this is one of them. During the early to middle phases of moustache training and growth this wax is indispensable for it's ability to hold errant hairs in place and provide brilliant structure. After about 9 months of growth, once your handlebar starts really maturing, you can start using a more medium strength hold - I suggest the booze and baccy - with this wax on hand for those days when your moustache just won't play nice. With this wax it is important to use your thumbnail to scrape a series of layers off of the top, massage this between your fingers and apply by firmly massaging from the inner lip to the outer tip. Depending on the temperature of your region, your eating and drinking habits, and the coarseness of your hair you may need to reapply the wax every 3 - 8 hours. I find I generally apply after each meal and it has become a sort of unconscious ritual. I have trialled many waxes and this and the booze and baccy are by far my favourites. Conveniently sized I constantly have them in my pocket at the ready and look dapper as all hell for it. My moustache is one year old.

This stuff is basically solid, and you need to use a finger nail to get some out. you only need a tiny bit, and it holds for a while, but it feels so thick and doesn't hold all day long. i am trying to train my mo to grow sideways, so as not to have to rim it.. but this stuff only works for a few hours, tops.. not sure anything else would be better though..

This does exactly what it says it does. I can go the whole day with out the wax losing its grip. A little bit goes along way. If you don't like sandalwood the fragrance of this might be a little off putting but luckily I love the smell. I hope this never goes out of stock.
