Like the original Blackbird, the Blackbird Lite is a modern double-edge safety razor designed, machined, and finished in the United States. With looks inspired by the iconic SR-71 "Blackbird" reconnaissance aircraft, the Blackbird razor is as visually striking as it is functional. Each of the Blackbird's three pieces is CNC machined from solid stainless steel in Blackland’s San Diego shop. After machining, each piece receives multiple rounds of quality control and hand finishing to ensure the highest level of quality and precision. Blackbird’s machined finish flaunts the tool marks and patterns left behind in the razor by the CNC machines rather than removing or covering them. Each and every mark cut into the steel tells the story of the Blackbird and the craftspeople who made it. To make sure it's beautiful, Blackland painstakingly programs the CNC machine path to ensure that a beautiful and consistent finish is left behind.
