The delicate strength of femininity. An ivory tower wreathed in shreds of clouds, dewy mists of fragile pear, inviting almond milk and beads of frankincense draw the outlines of a dreamful haven.

A princess whispers you in and leads the way to a lush garden where osmanthus blossoms diffuse their heady apricot scent. A fountain gleams in the centre, its marble edge covered in scarlet roses whose voluptuous scent meets that of leathery saffron threads laid on the floor.

Through jasmine screens, sultry and spent, the woman walks and there comes with her a scent of dark vanilla and skinl-ike sandalwood, of ambery labdanum and purring hints of regal ambergris: who are you, she asks, and you feel seen.

EDITOR'S NOTES

No mistaking the signature of this one, crafted by Quentin Bisch, who is composing some of the most distinct perfume shapes at the moment. You might look at the note list wondering how it could all possibly work, but it does, and everything melts together and then radiates in a bewildering way.

Lots of fruit: honey-scented pear, apricot osmanthus, fruity roses, and bright citrusy jasmine ride a long wave of powerful sandalwood fortified with akigalawood, addictive with hazelnut and rounded with vanilla. And then, somehow, thick yet crystalline lines of frankincense saturate the scent all over, booming with ambergris materials warmed with labdanum, lending a distinctive feeling that could only be Amouage.
