Selahatin Nathan Jancauskas

Selahatin Escapist Whitening Toothpaste

I may very well be influenced by my love for the great outdoors, but Selahatin has truly created a range of toothpastes that evoke profound sensations and memories. In Escapist, fresh and bright citrus fruits, wintergreen peppermint, and warming cinnamon tastes great, and transports me into the verdant heart of nature.

Tauer Data Miner Soap

This is an uber-traditional glycerine soap with a decidedly modern scent profile of leather, iris, woods and citruses. Glycerine makes the soap non-drying, and is derived from vegetable fats. Activated charcoal gives it a cool black look, but also enhances the cleansing power of the soap. It leaves a pleasant and softening feeling on the skin and fills the bathroom with its unique smell - the perks of using a soap made by a brilliant perfumer.

Geo. F. Trumper Eucris Deodorant Stick

Eucris, in any form, is unforgettable. As a deodorant, they’ve retained the characteristic sharp and crunchy, sizzling and padded contrasts of the fragrance. Blackcurrant, spices, moss define this scent: it smells great and importantly keeps me dry without irritating, and is free from alcohol, aluminium, and triclosan. A proper deodorant stick, it is non-sticky, quick drying, and lasts.

Lab Series Oil Control Moisturizer

This moisturiser is a powerhouse - which excels because it does what it needs to do, and then even more. It hydrates without leaving a greasy feel, and prevents shine throughout the day. Packed with a precise and gentle amount of alpha-hydroxy and beta-hydroxy acids and white clay, this moisturiser gets to work rejuvenating the skin - promoting brightness, clarity, and even skin tone while reducing redness and pore size. Underneath a sunscreen, it’s an all-encompassing moisturiser.

Triumph & Disaster Jaggr Lip Balm SPF 15

This balm is packed in an awesome tin that fits pant pockets and drawers alike. Made from natural ingredients and zinc sunscreens, it hydrates, softens, calms, and protects. Triumph & Disaster always add New Zealand natives to their formulations - here Kawakawa and manuka oils treat the skin and lips.

Firsthand Supply Texturizing Paste

Made for relaxed styles, and suitable for longer hair - this is a clay with a slightly deceiving thickness, but in fact retains a lightweight and smooth texture in the hair. Warming this up in the hands and working it through the hair, it provides a malleable hold and creates a loose look with a natural finish.

It smells great - a little herbal and a little warm - and it washes out very easily. Firsthand Supply is an American brand that emphasises quality and sustainable materials - functioning at the highest level.

Tauer L'Air Du Désert Marocain

A spritz to conclude the morning regimen - Tauer’s L’Air du Desert Marocain remains a favourite even after many years. Nothing has surpassed its mesmerising blend of spices, amber, and woods - and is equally comforting as it is rousing. It is generous and has a remarkable presence, and is based around the typical spicy scents of the Maghreb in Morocco - coriander seed, cumin, cedar wood, labdanum, jasmine, and bitter orange leaves. The air of this desert gathers this precious symphony of smells, gaining in scent as it passes through sandblasted sand, souks, temples, and vegetation.
