Marvis Amarelli Licorice Toothpaste

I love aniseed (liquorice) flavour, and this Marvis toothpaste doesn’t disappoint. By contrast, some supermarket big brand toothpastes seem to be more diluted and runny lately (a variation of shrinkflation?), but this toothpaste is very thick, which means I use less, compensating for its higher price.

If you like aniseed (the flavour of liquorice), this is a brilliant toothpaste.

Very refreshing taste with mint overtones well worth the price. Highly recommended this product.

I'm not a huge licorice guy, but thought I'd give this a go for something different, and happy to say I'm not disappointed. The flavor isn't over-bearing, but is still enough to make your mouth feel clean and fresh.

Im not actually a licorice fan but i thought I would give it a go and Im actually quite enjoying it! Would reccomend, although i dont always use it when i brush my teeth as it doesnt have such a fresh breath aftertaste.

A superb product, as always with the Marvis toothpaste range and this one actually tastes eatable (have been tempted!) It's now my favourite and my old Colgate tube now seems so banal in comparison. I also bought one for my mother who, with Dutch blood, can't get enough of zoute drop!

Yes, the price is expensive by supermarket standards – I tend to use it every second day and the ol' Colgate every other, simply for economical reasons – and there's less froth in the mouth. But it sure does make for a great start to the day before work (or another day of academic rigueur). Would purchase again. The only major downside is that the Marvis range doesn't come in 'man-size'! As an added note, I sometimes get bad breath after a long day but this seems to work wonders.

I love this toothpaste. The smell is much more intense than the taste, which is probably a good thing. Will buy again.

What can I say? Marvis is my go to brand for toothpaste! This is a truly unique toothpaste, the freshness it leaves you with is second to none and the liquorice taste is spot on, not too much and not too faint either. You cannot lose with this one!

You simply can't go back after trying Marvis toothpaste. It leave your mouth completely fresh like nothing else.

After being a little dubious about a licorice flavoured toothpaste we've now settled on it and the strong mint as being our favourites. Great flavour and not soapy like the major brands in the supermarket chains.

Bought as a treat for my mum who for some reason loves the evil monster normal people call licorice. Very well received and just strong enough.
Beaut packaging suitable for a gift which is nice given the price.
Will try cinnamon for myself next time.

I love brushing my teeth with this paste. The liquorice lasts for a good hour after brushing and gives a confidence boost when meeting women.

Very nice toothpaste.
The taste isn't overwhelming at all, there is no fluoride.. But as long as you have fluoride in your tap water or interchange this with a regular toothpaste you don't need it.
It's a nice concentrated toothpaste with a very mild after taste. It will last about 3 times as long as a regular toothpaste as you only need about a third as much.
Value wise it is great, taste wise it is great. Buy it, try it, love it.

Bought this a couple of times along with the jasmine. Not keen on the jasmine at all tastes like kids grape flavor lollies to me but the licorice has become my regular toothpaste.

I bought this for ME. I had bought anise flavored toothpaste when I ran out in Rome, and it was so good I googled for more. This is a different brand but perfect. It is real paste, not creamy fluff, is delicious and leaves my mouth really fresh. The packaging is also beautiful. I gave one tube as a gift to a friend, she loves it as well.

Bought this for my wife after she got rather envious of my Marvis Cinnamon toothpaste. Not an aniseed lover myself but she loves it.

I'm not sure whether it really is great before drinking red wine as suggested in another review but I am ready to find out. Otherwise, this is a favourite in my toiletry bag. I don't use a mouth wash after this toothpaste and spoil it; it tastes great and is worth savouring. Comments that it is a 'luxury' item reflect its cost for toothpaste but in the grand scheme of things, it is a luxury most people can afford, even if it is kept for special.

Great unusual product. Bought some of these to give as presents and ended up keeping them myself!

Unlike ordinary toothpastes which numb and paralyze the taste buds for a considerable time, this wonderful aid to enjoying wine shortens the period an oenologist has to wait after cleaning his teeth. The licorice flavour is 'sympatico' with fine red wine although mixing the two together in a Reidel glass is not recommended.

This stuff is pretty dope, Jasmine, Cinnamon and this bad boy make up my weekly brush. Get on it tastes a bit like star anise.

This toothpaste is an excellent , well packaged and presented item. Well suited for gifts that have that something special and unusual effect. Well done.

I was given some Jasmine flavour by a friend from Italy, liked it a lot and have since tracked down the Marvis toothpaste to give, in turn, as gifts, as well as to try out all the very agreeable flavours. It is terrific for a small but unusual present. The toothpaste comes in very stylish packaging and adds a little extra pleasure and luxury to a rather mundane boring chore.
