Pretty much what George said. I haven't tried yet with different blades (and I did find for some reason the two complementary blades were find but things went downhill when I bought the 50 pack). The price is a bit high to have to make these workarounds.

An overpriced meagre upgrade from standard “popular” model.
Offering only a single setting difference, from its it’s older cousin, construction feels flimsy, and more plastic.
Certainly performs no better for a shaver three times the price as my previous Feather shaver.
Don’t bother upgrading.

I think if it could be made from metal making the shaver heavier it would be a much better shaver

The razor is to light and just skims across the whiskers and does not give a clean shave, I used the feather blades originally but found the shave was less than desirable, so I changed the blade to an Astor platinum blade and I did get a far better shave, also the feather blades rust after a week.to get a reasonable shave you do have to apply pressure on the razor for it to shave, thus risking nicking your face, I have been using safety razors now for 58yrs, so I do have experience with safety razors I'm 72 yrs old and started shaving at 14 yrs old
